Families in Somerset are in for a festive treat as Dobbies in Shepton Mallet unveils an 'enchanting' Christmas experience, complete with a Christmas tree forest and Santa's Grotto.

Scheduled for December, this highly anticipated event promises to be a memorable outing for all, including our four-legged friends.

Visitors can expect a warm welcome from Santa's elves who will guide children through a magical forest filled with enchanting characters. Kids will not only get to craft a special keepsake but will also meet Santa Claus, who will listen to their Christmas wishes and gift them a present to take home.

For children with additional needs, the store thoughtfully offers a Quiet Grotto, designed to provide a calm and comfortable environment. This option will be available from 2:30 p.m. on Friday, December 8.

Pet owners aren't left out either. Starting December 2, the Santa Paws experience allows dogs to meet Santa and receive pet-friendly gifts.

Sarah Murray, responsible for developing Dobbies' festive offerings, said, "For every child, meeting Santa is a treasured highlight of the season. At Dobbies we're dedicated to creating a Santa's Grotto experience that resonates with every member of the community. Optional professional photographs can be added at the time of booking or on the day, starting at £5 for a digital image and £7 for a photo booklet. Ticket prices are set at £11.99 per child for both Santa's Grotto and the Quiet Grotto, and £6.99 per dog for the Santa Paws experience. Non-refundable donations to the Teenage Cancer Trust can also be made at the time of booking.
