Street Clarks Social Club is looking for someone it can count on — quite literally.

The branch needs a new volunteer treasurer to help keep the club running, with the role open to someone who is either a current Clarks employee or a retired member of Clarks staff.

The club meets once a fortnight at the Victoria Club in Street and remains an active part of the local social scene. The new treasurer would join a committee already supported by a chairman, vice-chairman, secretary, other committee members and helpers.

It means the person taking on the role will not be left to carry everything alone. Instead, they will become part of a small team helping to keep a long-standing Clarks-linked club organised, supported and moving forward.

The post is voluntary, but for the right person it is a chance to do something useful, sociable and rooted in Street's working history. The club says it would love to hear from eligible people who may be interested in getting involved.
