An arrest has been made in connection with an arson attack that severely damaged play equipment at Collett Park in Shepton Mallet.

The incident, which occurred in July, took place shortly after the park's play area had been revamped and reopened to the public.

The individual arrested in connection with the attack has been released on conditional bail as the investigation continues.
