Kilmersdon Gardeners is set to host an enchanting evening with James Cross, Head Gardener at the Bishop's Palace, on Wednesday, 11th October.

The talk promises to offer a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the stunning gardens that have been the backdrop to the Bishops of Bath and Wells for 800 years.

The Bishop's Palace, a site steeped in history and breathtaking scenery, has been the spiritual home to the Bishops for eight centuries. It also boasts 14 acres of awe-inspiring gardens that have been meticulously cared for by James Cross since 2004.

He brings with him a wealth of experience, having previously worked for the National Trust at locations such as The Courts in Wiltshire, Sissinghurst, and Sheffield Park.

During the evening, James will delve into the evolution of these spectacular gardens, sharing insights into their past and present. He will also unveil some exciting plans for their future development.

Doors will open at 7.15 pm, and visitors are welcome to attend. The event will also feature a raffle and refreshments, making it an ideal night out for gardening enthusiasts and history buffs alike.
