SHEPTON ON SHOW IS BACK!

Shepton Mallet is about to throw open its shop windows and let the weird, the wonderful and the wildly creative back in! After a year's break, Shepton on Show is back for its sixth spectacular year, transforming everyday shopfronts into living stages.

From 6 to 8pm on Friday 24 October, expect music, theatre, art and a good dash of the unexpected as over a dozen independent shops, cafés and community spaces burst into life. Past years have seen everything from Suffragettes to pirates, fashion activists to plague doctors, and this year promises even more surprises, with performers, artists and community groups joining forces to showcase Shepton's brilliantly bonkers independent spirit.

Brought to life by The Art Bank, Shepton on Show is a love letter to the town itself – to its makers, traders, dreamers and doers. Think of it as street theatre meets shop window, where anything might happen (and usually does).

"We like to think of Shepton on Show as the night when the town centre comes alive – a mash-up of art, music, performance and sheer Shepton magic. It's creative, it's free and it's totally unmissable."

And once you've wandered the windows and soaked up the spectacle, the After Party continues at The Art Bank from 8pm, featuring local DJs, drinks and the usual dose of friendly chaos.

So grab your coats, round up your friends, and come and see Shepton as you only see it once a year. Expect lights, laughter and a little bit of mischief – all for one night only.
