The Art Bank, Make the Sunshine and the Rubbish Art Project have been working together to light up windows across Shepton Mallet, bringing Window Wanderland - a national and now international movement - to the town.

Window Wanderland, which started in Bristol, aims to turn windows into a night-time gallery. Workshops have been taking place across Shepton Mallet to create some iconic signature windows made with the local community.

The team at SCF says a big thank you to everyone who donated to this year's Surviving Winter appeal

Somerset Community Foundation (SCF) is delighted to announce that the 2019/20 Surviving Winter appeal has raised a record-breaking £110,000, thanks to the generosity of local donors.

The team at SCF, which is based at the Bath and West Showground near Shepton Mallet, have been distributing funding across the county, and aim to support more than 500 vulnerable older people with a Surviving Winter grant, helping to keep them warm, safe and well.

Fire crews attended a gas leak from a caravan in Pylle at lunchtime today (February 20).

Just before 12.45pm, fire control received a call from the ambulance service asking for their assistance with a gas leak from a caravan in Fosse Way, Pylle.
