A major scheme to improve the main roads around Pilton could be scrapped due to a lack of "community and political support".
Somerset County Council submitted plans to the government in July 2019 for a major road improvement scheme for the A39 and A361 through Glastonbury and Pilton.

A four-day programme of events is being held in Oakhill and Ashwick to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day.
When VE Day dawns on Friday May 8 2020 it will be 75 years since the guns fell silent at the end of the war in Europe.
Window Wanderland is running in Shepton Mallet from March 5 to 8 and houses, businesses, shops and cars are invited to join in.

The Mid-Somerset Agricultural Society has successfully secured planning permission to begin work on its new site to host the annual Mid-Somerset Show in Shepton Mallet.
After the purchase of the land between Cannard's Grave Road and Dark Lane in Shepton Mallet last August, the society has been working to secure planning permission to build a permanent building on the site.
A garden wall was destroyed and two parked cars badly damaged after a BMW crashed into the side of a house in Holcombe last night (February 25).
At about 8pm, the car crashed into the house on Holcombe Hill, demolishing the garden wall and coming to rest against the house.
