More than 90 nominations were received for an online business awards events that has been organised by Shepton Mallet Town Council.

Announced in June in response to the cancellation of the Mendip Business Awards, the Shepton Innovator Awards are an online business awards event organised by the council, and nominations were open from June 11 to July 30.

With many shows and events falling victim to Covid-19 in 2020, the Royal Bath and West Society is delighted to announce that the British Cheese Awards will be able to take place near Shepton Mallet this year.

Traditionally held at the Royal Bath and West Show at the end of Spring Bank Holiday week, the 2020 British Cheese Awards were put in doubt when then show was cancelled because of coronavirus.
