The Happy Landings Animal Shelter in Pylle is making changes to its operation to keep it sustainable following the coronavirus crisis.
The charity is making changes to its administrative team in a bid to make sure it can look after the animals in its care.

The air dates for the ITV drama Des, which David Tennant filmed in Shepton Mallet in January, have been revealed.
The three-part drama starts on Monday September 14 at 9pm on ITV, and stars Tennant as the serial killer Dennis Nilsen.
Temporary traffic lights are planned on the A37 in Shepton Mallet for roadworks next week.
The multi-way lights are scheduled to be in place at the junction of the A37 Kilver Street and Town Lane from Monday (September 7) to Wednesday (September 9).

There is an exciting future ahead for Willow Nursery and Pre-School in Shepton Mallet after plans for a new home in the town were given the green light by Mendip District Council.
A planning application for the change of use of dwellinghouse (Class C3) to state registered nursery and pre school (Class D1) and use of adjacent land for associated access and parking at 1 Charlton Road, Shepton Mallet, was submitted by Willow Nursery and Pre-School Ltd.

A selection of more than 20 finalists from Shepton Mallet and the surrounding villages was whittled down to just one winner in each of the eight categories of award.

Mendip District Council is encouraging local Tradespeople to register for TrustMark or Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) accreditation to be able to carry out works for the Government's Green Homes Grant scheme.
The Green Homes Grant scheme, which is due to go live in September, will allow Mendip residents to apply for vouchers of up to £5000 for Green home improvements where the government will fund up to two-thirds of the cost of the works, which may help families potentially save up to £600 a year on their energy bills. Homeowners and landlords can apply, and low income households will be eligible for up to 100% government funding up to £10,000.
Mendip District Council's Licensing Team is delivering virtual safeguarding sessions to all licensed taxi and private hire drivers in Shepton Mallet.
More than 40 drivers, from across the district, attended the first two specialised courses, with more booked on throughout September and October. The sessions are taking place virtually due to the COVID crisis, they are free and meet the new Statutory Taxi and Private Hire Vehicle Standards.

Parts of Somerset including Shepton Mallet will begin to have their refuse bins collected once every three weeks from next month.
At the same time more items will be collected in recycling collections which will contine to take place every week.
Plans for a "disproportionate" development in a rural Somerset village have been refused due to concerns about the impact on local roads and amenities.
Gladman Developments put forward plans to build 63 new houses behind the existing properties on Anchor Road in Coleford, located between Frome and Shepton Mallet.
