Whitstone School is preparing for a significant change in leadership as current headteacher Guy Swallow announced he would be leaving the school this year.

After a tenure of nearly four and a half years, Mr. Swallow has accepted a role leading a larger 11-18 secondary school in South Bristol, part of a renowned Multi-Academy Trust. He is expected to leave Whitstone in March.

During his time at Whitstone School, Mr. Swallow has overseen considerable improvements, including a positive Ofsted inspection in 2022, an encouraging Challenge Partners Review, an increase in student numbers, and numerous individual successes.

The Board of Trustees at Whitstone School will initiate the process of finding a new headteacher, working closely with Mr. Swallow to ensure a seamless transition.

The school community will have opportunities to bid farewell to Mr. Swallow in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, the search for a new headteacher who can continue the legacy of success and development at Whitstone School is underway.
