It's a Jubilee-tastic long weekend in Shepton Mallet, with lots of events planned in the town and the surrounding villages.

Thursday, June 2

Beacon Lighting at the Mid Somerset Showground

All across the country, at 9.45pm, beacons will be lit in honour of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. The celebrations will include live music, a hog roast, a bar, and a fireworks display to finish the event at 10pm.

Friday, June 3

The Big British BBQ

Head to Eco Food Creations on Forum Way for a really tasty celebration!

There's a barbecue showcasing local produce (including salad grown right there on the Eco Food Creations farm), live music, games, seed sowing and a raffle.

 Saturday, June 4

Platinum Jubilee Sheptopoly

From the fabulous creative minds of the Art Bank team, comes Sheptopoly! The town will become a board game, and your job is to find the missing crown jewels. It's events like this that make Shepton so special!

Sunday, June 5

Market Place Street Party

Bring a picnic (or book one from the Cheeky Bean's special menu!) and join in the fun. There will be live music, cocktails available from Bar 501 and a cake stall.
