Vehicle Fire Within Commercial Building at Charlton Road, Holcombe, Somerset.

Date: 03.05.2019Time: 16:55Location: Charlton Road, Holcombe, Somerset.2 Fire engines from Shepton Mallet were sent to the above location to reports of an incident.On arrival, crews confirmed a vehicle and a pallet of cardboard to be on fire within a commercial building. Crews extinguished the fire using 2 breathing apparatus wearers, 1 main jet, 1 hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera.The owners, who were already on scene attempted to extinguish the fire with fire extinguishers, 1 male was conveyed to hospital suffering with smoke inhalation. The vehicle was 100% destroyed by fire, the commercial unit sustained approx. 5% heat and smoke damage.The cause was accidental.
