Three people have been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Doulting Hill, on the edge of Shepton Mallet, this morning.

One fire crew from Shepton Mallet and one from Wells were sent to a report at 11.12am today (August 13) of a two-vehicle crash.

On arrival crews confirmed that one person was still trapped within one vehicle and one vehicle was in a precarious position with two people still inside. Crews requested a Heavy Rescue Unit to attend, which was sent from Trowbridge.

The three people were released from these vehicles by fire service personnel using hydraulic cutting equipment. All were taken to hospital via ambulance.
