Strode College is celebrating another year of outstanding A Level, Vocational and new for 2022 T Level results. Results have been awarded through a highly rigorous exams and in some cases further assessment process this year, the first time since 2019.

A spokesman for the college said: "The college has a long track record of outstanding results and year after year, this means that our students are well placed to progress to their first choice of university, onto an apprenticeship or into work. With nearly 800 A' level exam entries this year, students studying the new T Levels and over 350 L3 and L2 vocational entries these results equate to a significant number of students. Their achievements are truly inspirational and we are so proud of them."

Some of the top line figures are shown below;-

99% A Level pass rate

85% of students have achieved an A* - C

62% of students have achieved an A* - B,

34% of students have achieved an A* - A grade

Similarly, Strode College vocational students have achieved beyond expectations with a 100% pass rate across all level 3 BTEC. With an amazing 20% of students achieving the very highest grades of D*D*D*, equivalent to A* at A level and 67% achieving at least DDM.

This summer also marks the first cohort of T Level students finishing their courses and Strode College was one of the first providers to offer these brand new qualifications to students in Somerset in 2020. The College had a 96% pass rate for T Levels with a 100% pass rate for the Digital Production and Design and Development T Level and 100% high grades for the Education and Care T Level.

John Revill, Principal and CEO of Strode College, said: "I am extremely proud of our students and staff achieving these brilliant results. It has been an incredibly difficult and uncertain 2 years for our students, but they have coped admirably with the challenges thrown at them and embraced the opportunities. I hope that they are excited and looking forward to the next step in their lives. There are many options available for them such as a traditional route to University, starting an apprenticeship or moving directly into work. Our students are dedicated, ambitious and hardworking; attributes that will serve them well throughout their career. I would like to say a huge congratulations to everyone who has worked so hard to achieve beyond expectations!"

"We're also incredibly proud to be celebrating the success of our first ever cohort of T Level students this summer. We were among the first providers in the country to offer these brilliant new qualifications, and it has been fantastic to see how they have been embraced by young people. I'm excited to see our students build on their success as they prepare for their next step - whether that be straight into the world of work, university or other post 18 options such as an apprenticeship."

Strode College also has progression opportunities available for students looking to pursue Higher Education courses closer to home as well as a range of live apprenticeship vacancies available with local companies.
