A woman from Stoke St Michael will have her head shaved this week to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Rachael Watts will Brave the Shave on Tuesday (July 7) at 7pm in the Knatchbull Arms in her home village, and she has already nearly hit her fundraising target.

At the time of writing (12.30pm on Sunday July 5) Rachael had already raised £460 from 17 supporters, with £500 being her target.

She said: "Cancer is awful. Far too many people I know have had their lives changed by it one way or another.

"With the whole pandemic currently gripping the world, fundraising is low. So, I am going to Brave the Shave.

"Anything you can spare will be gratefully received by Macmillan, but my boys have already informed me that they will not be seen in public with me once the shave has happened!"

To donate to Rachael's Brave the Shave, you can visit her fundraising page, which can be found here.
