With just a week to go, excitement is building for the Food & Drink Festival, taking place at the Bath & West Showground on 22nd-23rd March.

The weekend promises an indoor feast of food, drink, tastings, family fun, and live entertainment—so there's no need to worry about the weather.

A taste of what's to come

The Farmhouse Kitchen will be packed with flavour, featuring cocktail tastings with Andy Clarke, an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the British & Irish Cheese Awards, and samples from Saddle Goose Wine, Barber's Cheese, and Two&One Olive Oil. Food lovers can also learn about the Soil to Plate process with Kaleidoscope Hotels.

For younger visitors, the Kids Zone offers food and farming-themed crafts while parents explore the festival. New for 2025, Fun Kitchen will host five free 45-minute cooking workshops throughout the day.

Cheese enthusiasts can enjoy Cheese & Chutney Pairings with The Bay Tree Food Co. and vote for their favourite cider at a tasting session with Bristol Cider Shop.

British & Irish Cheese Awards

One of the highlights of the weekend, the British & Irish Cheese Awards, will take place in the main hall, where visitors can see top cheeses judged and sample some of the winners.

For a truly unique cheese experience, expert-led guided cheese tours will showcase the best cheeses from the awards and artisan traders. Spaces are limited, so early booking is advised.

Family fun and entertainment

The Bath & West Steam Railway will be open throughout the festival, offering a scenic half-mile ride—perfect for kids.

Live music and entertainment will fill the showground, with performances from Charlie Greenwood and the Somerset & Wiltshire Rock Choir.

Shoppers can explore an array of trade stands and the Artisan Farmers Market, featuring everything from handmade cakes and speciality cheeses to Somerset cider and spirits.
