Shepton Mallet comic con levels up this May

Player one, are you ready? Shepton Mallet is about to level up.
The Somerset Comic Con and Gaming Festival is spawning into the Bath & West Showground on Saturday, 16 May, bringing a full inventory of comics, cosplay and gaming goodness.
Doors open from 10 am to 4.30 pm, with tickets from £7.50, as fans prepare to press start on a day of pure fandom.
Expect a packed map of attractions, from TV and film memorabilia to comics, manga, Lego and collectibles — whether you are a seasoned collector or just browsing the loot.
Cosplayers will be out in force, with character meet-ups and a competition later in the day. Whether you are going full superhero, anime icon or classic game character, this is your moment to unlock that achievement.
The gaming zone promises a mix of old-school and next-gen action, from retro throwbacks to virtual reality experiences. Think button-mashing nostalgia meets cutting-edge play.
There will also be special guests from film and TV, comic artists showing off their skills, and themed photo opportunities where fans can grab that perfect snap.
And in a plot twist no one saw coming — life-sized dinosaurs are also set to roam the event, adding a Jurassic side quest to the day.
The festival is part of the UKCGF Tour 2026 and is being billed as a family-friendly event for all ages — whether you are here to grind for collectibles, meet fellow fans or just enjoy the atmosphere.
