Wells going green as festival teams up with Ecoweek

Wells goes green this autumn with talks on health, climate change and conservation as the Wells Festival of Literature teams up with Ecoweek.
Now in its second year, Ecoweek is a week-long programme of events organised by the Wells Environment Network to raise awareness of the need to protect and conserve our environment.
The literature festival is hosting three fascinating speakers in each of these fields beginning with gut health expert Tim Spector, author of the best-selling The Diet Myth.
He appears at the festival's opening night on Friday 17 October, bringing tips on how make simple, tasty fermented foods.

Climate change expert Mike Berners-Lee follows on Sunday questioning why global emissions are worse than ever when we have much of the technology necessary to combat the crisis.
These talks mark the end of the Ecoweek programme and the beginning of the literature festival, which later in the week features rewilding enthusiast James Canton with advice on going wild – even if all you have available is a small window box – and getting a buzz out of small grassy spaces.
Go green, go wild and be inspired at the Wells Festival of Literature at Cedars Hall from 17-25 October.
