Power moves and pastries at Charlton House

By Klara Goldy 26th Mar 2025

Women in business across Shepton and beyond are being invited to a new monthly event promising coffee, collaboration and the kind of support that turns good ideas into bold moves.

Coffee & Co-Working, hosted by local entrepreneur and business strategist Klara Goldy, will launch on Wednesday 30 April at Charlton House (Montigo Resorts), and continue every third Wednesday of the month.

The event is part of the Women's Business Club, a global network for women at all stages of their careers. Whether you're just getting started, running your own company, or plotting your next pivot, the idea is simple: no one builds a business alone—and you shouldn't have to.

"This is about more than just networking," said Klara. "It's about creating real momentum for women who are ready to grow, lead, and make a lasting impact."

The format is designed to be relaxed, supportive and productive. Attendees can expect a welcoming space to share ideas, find collaborators, and build connections with other like-minded women in business.

Klara, who also runs Klara Goldy Interiors, said she wants to create "spaces—both physical and mental—where people thrive."

The national founder of Women's Business Club, Angela De Souza, said: "We are thrilled to be launching a club in Somerset and look forward to supporting local businesswomen. Not only will they benefit from all that a local club has to offer, but they can also tap into our global network to grow their businesses further afield."

The launch takes place on 30 April, from 9:30am to 1:30pm at Charlton House, Charlton Road, Shepton Mallet. All women who run, own, or work in a business are welcome to attend.
