Women in Shepton are being called to the forefront of a new community safety initiative led by Avon and Somerset Police.

The 'Walk and Talk' scheme invites local women to meet with a female police officer or PCSO and guide them through areas in their community where they may feel unsafe or vulnerable.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police, said, "We believe that community engagement is crucial in understanding and addressing safety concerns. The 'Walk and Talk' initiative is a chance for women in Street and Glastonbury to make their voices heard, helping us take effective measures to improve their safety and well-being."
