Shepton Sunday Market returns this July with tower tours, petting zoo and a chill-out zone

If you thought Shepton Mallet's Sunday Market was all about shopping, think again.
The next market, taking place on Sunday 27 July, will once again bring together the best of Somerset's makers, bakers, traders and creators – but there's plenty more on offer beyond the stalls.
In the churchyard of St Peter & St Paul, Twinnies Petting Farm will be back with a host of cuddly animals for visitors to meet. It's always a firm favourite with families, and a great way to break up the day.
Inside the church, tower tours will be running throughout the day, offering a rare opportunity to explore one of the town's historic landmarks from the inside out.
And for anyone looking to slow the pace, the churchyard will also host a peaceful chill-out area – the perfect spot to unwind between browsing and lunch.
As always, the market promises a fresh line-up of street food, artisan goods, vintage finds and local produce, along with live music and community activities.
Organisers say they've had huge interest from traders, with plenty of returning favourites and new faces lined up for the rest of the season.
