As we approach the weekend of 8th July, Shepton Mallet is buzzing with a range of events that cater to a diverse range of interests.

Whether you're a fan of music, street art, or simply looking to repair a cherished item, there's an event for you.

The NASS Festival, the UK's biggest celebration of music, street art, skate and BMX, takes over the sponsors of this newsletter, the Bath & West Showground.

This year's lineup boasts of names such as Chase & Status Live, Wu-Tang Clan, and Little Simz. Beyond the music, the festival is set to showcase some of the most recognised street artists in Bristol and thrilling skate and BMX competitions. Grab your tickets now for this four-day celebration of culture and creativity.

On Saturday, 8th July, the Art Bank Café is hosting the Shepton Mallet Repair Café. Not only can you enjoy a cup of coffee and a delicious piece of cake, but you can also bring along an item that needs repairing. While you sit and enjoy your refreshments, watch as your item gets fixed and pick up some skills to take home.

Music lovers are in for a treat as the Pilton Stage Party Auditions take place on Saturday, 8th July. Come witness five aspiring acts battle it out for a chance to support a major headliner at the annual Pilton Party. Doors open at 7:00 pm and performances begin at 7:30 pm.

For soul music enthusiasts, The Art Bank hosts the Hip City Classic Soul night on Saturday, 8th July. DJs Dave Smith, Jorge Lewis, and Stephen Riley are set to play another amazing night of music from their time in the Northern Soul club scene.

Finally, the Somerstock Music Festival, part of the Somerton Music and Arts Festival, returns on Friday, 7th July, setting the mood with an additional night of acoustic sounds, followed by a fantastic line-up of live music all day on Saturday, 8th July. This iconic music festival, featuring an array of bars and street food, as well as a dedicated Kids' Zone, is a must-attend for the whole family.
