A new chapter for family support and child development is opening in Shepton Mallet with the launch of the Patta Cake Parent and Baby Wellbeing Hub.

Set to open its doors on Monday, 19th February at Three Winds, the hub aims to become a cornerstone for local families seeking connection, support, and growth opportunities for their little ones.

Nikkita McCutcheon has been at the forefront of nurturing young families through her Patta Cake Baby Massage and Yoga business for a decade.

Her passion for fostering well-being and development in the early years of childhood has now materialised into a dedicated space for parents and children.

"I've always dreamed of opening my own parent and baby wellbeing hub, somewhere I could serve the community, connect and support parents and their children as they grow and develop," she said. "And now that dream is a reality."

The hub will feature a variety of classes, including Baby Massage, Baby Yoga, Massage, Music and Movement, as well as Toddler and Children's Yoga.

One of the hub's highlights is its sensory play room, aimed at enhancing sensory development and exploration for babies and toddlers.

These classes are designed to support the physical and emotional development of children while providing a supportive community for parents.

"I'm really excited to have our own sensory play room," said she added. "A space which will form part of my class offerings, with a parent and baby/toddler free play coffee morning every Wednesday morning, but also it will be available for people to hire privately.

"They could get a group of friends together and share the cost and have somewhere nice to entertain and chat."

Additionally, the Patta Cake Parent and Baby Wellbeing Hub is set to be a versatile venue, available for private hire outside class times. This opens the door for a wide range of activities, including parenting classes, yoga, first aid courses, and book clubs, further enriching Shepton Mallet's community services.

With its comprehensive range of services and community-oriented approach, the Patta Cake Parent and Baby Wellbeing Hub promises to be a valuable asset for families in Shepton Mallet. Its opening marks a significant step towards nurturing the well-being of parents and their children, fostering a supportive and connected community.
