Shepton Mallet Town Council has announced an open meeting with charity Julian House, following a local inn's conversion into a homeless shelter.

The meeting aims to address community concerns, including anti-social behaviour issues and a lack of initial consultation with local residents.

A spokesperson for Shepton Mallet Town Council commented, "We are meeting Julian House to understand more about how the Dusthole project operates and its role within the community. This will be an open meeting and members of the public are welcome to come along and learn more about the project."

The public meeting is set for 7:30 pm on Tuesday, October 31, and will be held in the Council Chamber at Shape Mendip. Locals are encouraged to attend to get a better understanding of the Dusthole project and how it fits into the broader Shepton Mallet community.
