Shepton Mallet is braced for a blast of music, mayhem and pure creative energy as Shepton on Show returns this Friday.
From 6 to 8pm on Friday, 24 October, the town centre will explode into life as over a dozen local shops, cafés and venues are transformed into live performance spaces. Expect anything from pirate parades to plague doctors as High Street, Commercial Road, Market Cross and Town Street become the stage.
The event, now in its sixth year, is run by The Art Bank and promises two hours of full-throttle spectacle. Previous years have seen fashion activists, Suffragette reenactments and spontaneous theatre take over the town — and organisers say this year will be just as unpredictable.
Once the street acts wind down, the party keeps going at The Art Bank with DJs, drinks and the usual dose of friendly chaos from 8pm.
