Due to a recent yellow weather warning, Shepton Mallet Town Council has announced the postponement of the Skate Jam event, initially scheduled for this weekend.

Weather forecasts have indicated potentially disruptive conditions, leading the organisers to prioritise the safety of participants and spectators.

The decision, while difficult, was deemed necessary to ensure a positive and safe experience for everyone involved.

However, skate enthusiasts need not be too disappointed. The Town Council has already arranged for a new date, setting the stage for an exciting display of professional and amateur skateboarding skills later in the year.

The Skate Jam event has been rescheduled for the 23rd of September, 2023.

As originally planned, the event will host professional skateboarders, offering locals a chance to witness high-level performances firsthand. Attendees are still encouraged to bring their own boards and showcase their skating skills.
