Shepton Mallet roadworks for week commencing September 21

Temporary traffic lights are planned at the Commercial Road roundabout in Shepton Mallet next week.

Four-way lights are scheduled at the roundabout, where Commercial Road meets Rectory Road and Old Market Road, overnight from 9pm on Monday (September 21) to 6am on Tuesday (September 22).

There are due to be used to enable Sunbelt Rentals to install new fibre cable for a business customer, on behalf of BT.

Other roadworks in Shepton Mallet that are scheduled to take place next week include:

Temporary traffic lights are set to be used at the bottom of Long Hill on the A37 from 9.30am on Tuesday to 3.30pm on Thursday (September 24) to enable Somerset Highways to do safety repair works.

Temporary traffic lights are scheduled to be in place until Thursday on the A37 at Cannard's Grave, so BT can replace a jointbox frame and cover.

On Monday and Tuesday, Bristol Water is due to be working in Cowl Street, and on Monday Somerset Highways are set to be at work in the Market Place.

Finally, the BT work in Little Brooks Lane to install a poly duct and street cabinet plus base is scheduled to be completed on Thursday.
