Christopher Young Opticians in Shepton Mallet has been recognised on a national level, winning the Customer Service Excellence Award at the SightCare Awards 2025.

The award, which celebrates independent opticians providing exceptional patient care and personalised service, was presented on 13 February by Emma Rawlings, CEO of SightCare, and Daniel Fitzgerald from Switch Advisor.

Christopher Young, director of The Young Clinic Ltd, said the recognition was a proud moment for the team.

"We always strive to provide the best possible care for our patients, so to be recognised for that is really special. It means a lot to us and reflects the dedication of the whole team," he said.

The SightCare Awards highlight innovation, community impact, and excellence in patient care, and Christopher Young Opticians was praised for its understanding of client needs and commitment to building strong relationships.

The practice has been serving the Shepton Mallet community for more than 30 years, offering eye care services with a focus on personalised attention.
