Shepton’s job board is looking lively this week, with roles ranging from behind-the-scenes logistics to leadership and education.

Whether you're after something with a steering wheel, a whiteboard or a clipboard, there’s a good mix of permanent and part-time posts popping up locally. Flexibility, decent hours and even a company van are on offer for the right people.

If you're organised, unflappable and partial to a clipboard, there's a vacancy for an operational team leader in Shepton Mallet with Holcim — a company that's been around since 1858 and isn't going anywhere. You'll be helping build actual roads, bridges and buildings. So yes, you'll be able to point at things and say, "I helped with that." Apply now.

Over in Glastonbury, a dairy services key account manager role is up for grabs — perfect for someone who knows their milk solids from their margin forecasts. You'll be working across the South West with farmers, spreadsheets, and strategy. Not your average 9-to-5. Click here for full details.

Shepton's also on the lookout for a Class 2 driver for multi-drop deliveries around the South West. It's a weekday gig, no nights, and if you've got the licence, they've got the truck. Hop in and apply.

For the educators out there, a secondary teacher is needed in the Cheddar area on a flexible, supply basis. It's perfect for those who like the classroom but not the endless marking or staff meetings. Find out more and apply.

Over in Street, the Hindhayes Infant School kitchen needs a new catering manager. If you're confident managing food safety, school lunches, and the occasional picky eater, this role could be your recipe for sanity-friendly hours. View the full job here.

If hands-on and no-nonsense is more your thing, Wells is hiring a shunter fueller. You'll be fuelling, cleaning and prepping vehicles — evenings only — and keeping things ticking over behind the scenes. Check it out here.

There's also a temporary role for a site supervisor in Glastonbury, working with a civil engineering firm on infrastructure projects. You'll need experience in groundworks, health and safety, and ideally an NVQ Level 3 and a gold CSCS. Find out more.

Meanwhile, if you're looking for flexible, 1:1 education work that makes a real impact, there's an opening for an SEN teacher working across Somerset and Bristol. You'll be supporting young people with SEND, SEMH and other learning needs — with proper support and training. Learn more and apply.

Shepton is also recruiting for a part-time school transport driver. You'll be helping vulnerable children and adults get safely from A to B, with training provided, and a company vehicle thrown in. Apply here.

In Glastonbury, there's a maternity cover opportunity for a community paramedic working part-time in a supportive GP practice. Home visits, online consults and proper appointment lengths are all part of the offer — and there may be a permanent spot at the end of it. Check out the full details.

And finally, if you're good with people and don't mind a bit of table service, Wells is hiring a hospitality host/hostess at a care home. It's a warm, rewarding role with regular hours and all the training you'll need. Apply here.

That's your lot — for now. We'll be back with more jobs next week. Or sooner, if something really juicy pops up.
