Shepton Mallet festival to bring 11 days of events
By Laura Linham 3rd Jun 2026
Shepton Mallet is set for 11 days of music, art and community events as the town prepares for its first Shepton Midsummer Festival.
The festival will run from Thursday, 18 June, to Sunday, 28 June, with events taking place across the town. It is being led by Let's Buy The Amulet, working with local venues and promoters.
The programme includes both free and ticketed events, with jazz and an outdoor ceilidh in the Market Place, punk in the garden at The Victoria Inn, folk and indie shows, spoken word, community art and children's activities.
Arthur Brown, best known for Fire, is among the headline names confirmed for the festival. He is due to perform at The Art Bank as part of the wider programme.
Organisers say the event will bring together venues and groups across Shepton Mallet, with further events forming part of the wider town festival programme.
The festival will close on Sunday, 28 June, with the Prison Yard Party at Shepton Mallet Prison.
Tickets for festival events are available online, with some also being sold from the festival stand at the Sunday Market.
