Shepton Mallet's Town Council-hosted Easter egg hunt witnessed an astonishing turnout, attracting over 300 participants and resulting in an early depletion of Easter eggs.

Despite the shortage of prizes, the council encouraged the community to continue enjoying the hunt alongside other festivities, including face painting, free crafts, and the eagerly anticipated bonnet parade.

Attendees appreciated the well-organized event, highlighting the joy it brought to families across Shepton Mallet.

Clair Hayman commented, "What a great event for the whole family! So enjoyable. Thank you!"

Claire Timbers shared her gratitude, noting, "Thank you for putting this on! Kids loved it. The stamp idea was great. And loved their eggs. Not a surprise you ran out of eggs. Couldn't believe the amount of people!!"

Looking ahead, the Town Council is excited to announce its next community event, an Outdoor Cinema Event scheduled for 12th May.

The event will feature two movie screenings, a PG-rated film at 14:00 and a 12A film at 17:30, catering to audiences of all ages. The council invites residents to participate in selecting the films to be shown by voting on their website.
