Temporary traffic lights are scheduled to be used for roadworks on the A371 through Croscombe next week.

The lights are due to be in place on Wednesday (October 7) and Thursday (October 8) on Long Street, in the area around Long Street House.

They are set to be controlling the traffic while Bristol Water fixes a defective reinstatement in the road.

Other roadworks scheduled to take place in the Shepton Mallet area next week include:

The month-long scaffolding permit outside of 1, 2 and 3 Regal Way, in Shepton Mallet, is due to remain in place until October 12, while a similar permit is set to be in place at The Cottage, Ham Lane, Bowlish, until October 23.

From Wednesday to Friday (October 9) temporary traffic lights are scheduled to be used on the A37 in Gurney Slade from Underhill to Marchants Hill, so Somerset Highways can install a new gully.

From Tuesday (October 6) to October 13, there are due to be temporary traffic lights in Coalpit Lane, Stoke St Michael, so Western Power Distribution alter a supply.

Also in Stoke St Michael, from Wednesday to Friday Somerset Highways are set to be installing three bollards in Mendip Road.

Finally, from Wednesday to October 17, BT is scheduled to be installing poly ducts and repairing a street cabinet and base in Oakhill High Street.
