A road in Stoke St Michael is scheduled to be closed for five days for roadworks this week.

Limekiln Lane is set to be shut between 8.30am and 4.30pm from Monday (October 12) to Friday (October 16).

The closure is to enable Truespeed Communications to clear blockages and carry out cabling work.

Another road closure taking place from this week is the A371 Prestleigh Hill - you can read all about that here.

Other roadworks in the Shepton Mallet area that are planned for this week include:

Temporary traffic lights are scheduled on the A361 Cranmore Road in between Doulting and Cranmore overnight from 8pm on Wednesday (October 14) to 6am on Thursday (October 15) to enable BT to restore a service.

The temporary traffic lights in Coalpit Lane, Stoke St Michael, for Western Power Distribution to alter a supply are scheduled to remain in place until Tuesday (October 13).

BT's work in Oakhill High Street to install poly ducts and repair chambers is set to be completed on Saturday (October 17).

On Wednesday, Western Power Distribution is due to be replacing decayed poles in Cumhill Lane and Ford Lane in Pilton.

Also in Pilton, on Wednesday and Thursday Bristol Water is scheduled to be undertaking remedial works in Neat Lane.

Finally, the month-long scaffolding permit at 1 to 3 Regal Way in Shepton Mallet is set to run out on Monday.
