A Weymouth resident is asking shoppers in Shepton to watch for a sentimental bee brooch lost in the car park at Townsend Retail Park.

The brooch, presented during a unique proposal on the couple's 9th anniversary this past April, holds considerable sentimental value for the individual and his partner.

Instead of the traditional engagement ring, the broach was offered with the heartfelt sentiment, "Bee mine".

The item was lost on Friday, July 7th during a visit to Tesco in Shepton Mallet. It was pinned to the owner's bag, and is believed to have fallen off in either the store or the car park.

Despite its low monetary value, the broach holds significant emotional importance for the couple.

While an image of the exact broach is not available, the attached image provides a close likeness of what the lost item looks like, and the community is urged to aid in reuniting this beloved memento with its rightful owners, adding another chapter to their ongoing love story.

In hopes of retrieving the broach, the individual is offering to cover any postage costs associated with its return to Weymouth, and has also promised a small reward for the finder.

If you've picked up the brooch, please email [email protected] and we'll put you in touch with the owner.
