Shepton film fans have hours left to pick free park movies

Film fans in Shepton Mallet have just hours left to help choose what will be shown at this year's free Outdoor Cinema in Collett Park.
Shepton Mallet Town Council is inviting people to send in their film ideas before the deadline of 3pm on Friday, 27 March. The event itself will take place on Saturday, 9 May, running from 11am to 8pm in Collett Park.
Three films will be shown across the day, with one screening aimed at children under 12 and two more for older audiences with a 12A rating.
The council says the line-up will include one U or PG film for younger viewers, followed by two 12A films later in the day. Residents can submit their suggestions through the council's online form.
The free event is set to bring a full day of outdoor cinema back to one of Shepton Mallet's best-known parks, with the public being given the chance to shape the programme.
The call for suggestions was launched by the town council earlier this month. It said the aim was to let the community help decide the films before the final line-up is confirmed.
Anyone wanting to take part can submit their choices through the form on the council website: Help choose the films for Collett Park Outdoor Cinema 2026
