School submits plans to build key worker homes in Stratton-on-the-Fosse

Downside School, in Stratton-on-the-Fosse, has applied to Mendip District Council build nine homes for key workers.
The school has applied for the building nine dwellings on land off Fosse Way, Stratton-on-the-Fosse, which is in between the football ground and Linkmead.
Of the nine affordable key worker houses, five of them will have two bedrooms and four of them will have three bedrooms.
Other planning applications submitted to Mendip in the Shepton Mallet area this week include:
Approval of reserved matters (access, appearance, landscaping, layout and scale) for application 2018/0693/OTA (Outline planning permission for the erection of two detached dwellings - all matters reserved) on land to the rear of Tandridge, Broadway, Chilcompton, is wanted by Mr Mark Mason.
Application has been made for a certificate of lawful existing development for the existing access to the dwelling Paddick Lodge on the lane off Holcombe Hill, Holcombe.
Proposed single storey extension at 1 The Parlour, Huxham Farm Road, East Pennard, has been applied for by Mr Derek Haldane.
Proposed single storey rear extension at Woodville House, Bowlish Lane, Shepton Mallet, is wanted by Mr Matthew Cook.
Application to vary condition 2 (drawings) on application 2011/3068 at 1 Rock Cottages, Chapel Lane to Stockhill, Gurney Slade, has been made by Mr Roger Burge.
Erection of conservatory at Emmaus, Wells Road, Chilcompton, has been applied for by Mr and Mrs Turner and Owens.
Application to vary condition 2 (plans list) of planning approval 2019/1813/FUL (Redevelopment of Existing Workshop with a 3 Bedroom Dwellinghouse, along with Conversion and Extension of Existing Dwellinghouse to Studio/Workspace and Ancillary Accommodation for Tourism or Annexe Use) due to a material change on site at The Forge, Dark Lane, North Wootton, has been made by Sebastian and Lizbeth Galbraith-Helps.
Application for a proposed lawful development certificate to remove existing garage doors, build wall, insert window and render wall at the King William Inn, 32 West Shepton, Shepton Mallet, has been made by Mr Michael Williams.
Erection of 19 dwellings on land at Church Street, Wanstrow, has been applied for by Messrs Derek, Michael and Trevor Mounty.
Variation of condition 25 (hours of use) of permission 120690/000 is wanted (Erection of crematorium and creation of parking areas, access, landscaping including creation of mounds and change of use of surrounding land and ancillary uses associated with the crematorium) at Mendip Crematorium, Old Wells Road, Croscombe.
Outline planning permission for the erection of a dwellinghouse with details of access at Albany Cottage, Underhill to Marchants Hill, Gurney Slade, is wanted by Mr A Hillman.

Erection of a single storey rear and side extension at Carenza, Stockhill Close, Chilcompton, by Mr Fred Laceyford has been approved.
Approval of details reserved by condition 6 (Environmental Remediation - Implementation of Approved Remediation Scheme) on planning consent 2016/2643/FUL at The Garage, Fosse Way, Stratton-on-the-Fosse, by Mr Richard Appleyard has been confirmed.
Application for approval of details reserved by conditions 7 (Surface Water Drainage System), on planning consent 2019/2667/HSE at Brook Hall, Leighton Lane, Evercreech, by Mr Simon Heal has been approved.
Retrospective application for new garden room at Bourne House, Mendip Road, Stoke St Michael, by Mr Tim Brook has been withdrawn.
