He's making a list, checking it twice and gearing up to roll into Bath and West Showground again - Santa Claus will be visiting the miniature railway for two special days in December, creating festive cheer for families.

The "Santa Specials" event will be held on Saturday 2 December and Saturday 9 December.

Organisers are urging the public to book their tickets in advance to avoid missing out on the holiday magic.

For just £13, a child can bring along two adults, and the package includes a train ride, a gift for the child, and seasonal refreshments. Additional adults can join in the festivities for an extra £5 each. Each train journey will have 15 spaces available.

For those interested in booking, dates and time slots can be selected on the East Somerset Society of Model and Experimental Engineers website under the "Santa Specials" heading.

The railway also features a wheelchair-accessible carriage. If you or a family member would like to use this facility, you're encouraged to notify organisers ahead of time by emailing [email protected].

In the case of inclement weather, a reserve date has been set for 16 December. However, it should be noted that the event will not be running during weekdays.

As an added bonus, parking at the event is free.
