RTC Persons Trapped at Old Wells Road, Leigh on Mendip, Shepton Mallet

Date: 15.06.2019Time: 20:23Location: Old Wells Road, Leigh on Mendip, Shepton MalletTwo fire appliances from Shepton attended a road traffic collision at the request of the Police, involving a car which had hit a tree. One person was trapped in the vehicle. Paramedics also attended and assessed the casualty while fire crews prepared to rescue the casualty and made the vehicle safe.Crews used small tools to release the person, who was conveyed to hospital by the ambulance. Duty of care of the scene was left with the Police.
