Roll up, roll up! Free Circus Day is coming to Shepton’s Collett Park

Shepton Mallet is set to swap quiet Sunday strolls for juggling, tightrope walking and big top thrills as Circus Day rolls into Collett Park — and it's completely free.
On Sunday 31 August from 11am, the park will turn into a full-on circus playground, packed with hands-on workshops, live performances, and family-friendly mayhem. And no – this isn't just for the kids.
Aspiring acrobats can have a go at tightrope walking, while would-be entertainers can try their luck with juggling, all under the expert guidance of professional performers.
Once you've tested your skills and maybe dropped a few juggling balls along the way, you can kick back and enjoy the grand finale — a high-energy circus show to round off the day, promising gasps, laughs and a little bit of magic.
It's a day of learning, laughter and balance-defying fun – and it won't cost you a penny.
So whether you're five or fifty-five, if you've ever fancied running away with the circus (even just for an afternoon), this is your chance.
Circus Day kicks off at 11am on Sunday 31 August in Collett Park, Shepton Mallet — and everyone's invited.
