Road closure on Cowl Street for sewer maintenance in December

Shepton Mallet residents are being warned of a planned road closure on Cowl Street this December as Wessex Water carries out essential sewer cleaning and surveying.
The closure will be in place from 9th to 11th December, affecting the stretch of road from near Lis-Da-Shar to near 55 Cowl Street.
The work is part of scheduled utility repair and maintenance, and no footway closures are planned, meaning pedestrian access will remain open throughout the works.
Wessex Water has confirmed the project is currently in advanced planning, and further updates will be provided closer to the time.
Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes during the closure and allow extra time for their journeys.
