Motorists should prepare for the temporary closure of Ridge Lane in Pilton this week.

Somerset Council has announced that Ridge Lane will be closed to all traffic from the junction with Mill Lane, extending south-eastwards for 285 metres. The closure will allow Core Highways to carry out essential investigation works on behalf of National Highways.

The work is scheduled to begin today (22nd July, 2024) and will last for five days, operating 24 hours a day until 26th July 2024.

A diversion route will be in place, covering approximately 4.51 km and taking about 10 minutes. The route will guide drivers along Ridge Lane, Old Wells Road, and Ridge Road to bypass the closed section.

For more information about the works, contact Core Highways at 0330 043 3303, quoting reference number N3 - ttro884792E.
