If you need to fill your car, then it seems that it's worth adding an extra mile to your journey and going to the newly reopened petrol station at Pylle.

The Gulf petrol station on the A37 is selling unleaded at 179.9p/litre, a massive 10p a litre less than Tesco at Townsend. And with the average car taking between 45 and 65 litres, that could be a saving of more than £5.

The cost of filling up a car could drop by up to £10 in the next two weeks, according to the AA.  It's due to the costs falling for the companies that buy in the fuel, but the drop at the pumps relies on them passing on those savings.
