Redecorated Horseshoe Inn at Shepton Mallet welcoming skittles and darts teams who need a home
Welcome to the latest in our Hospitality Heroes series on Shepton Mallet Nub News.
We will be providing you with a profile of a number of fantastic hospitality venues ahead of their reopening in April and May.
The industry has been hit particularly hard with pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and accommodation only open for four out of the last 12 months.
Today here is everything you need to know about the Horseshoe Inn.
Situated in Bowlish, on the A371, the Horseshoe was taken over by Roger Daniells and his family in August last year.
Roger told Shepton Mallet Nub News: "During the lockdown we have been closed but we have been busy decorating inside and outside, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming customers back in.
"The garden has been tidied up ready to reopen in April. We will then follow the Government guidelines for future opening dates for inside.
"We had our first live music event back in October 2020 and it was a huge success even with the restrictions, and we plan to have regular entertainment nights when we reopen.
"There are two large TV screens showing live sporting events, free wi-fi throughout, juke box and gaming machine. We welcome families and are dog friendly.
"We also have the skittle alley and will be installing a dart board. Any teams looking for a new home, please do contact us."
