Men aged 40 and over in Shepton Mallet are encouraged to attend a free prostate cancer testing event hosted by the Somerset Prostate Support Association. In partnership with The Brue Boys Choir and Glastonbury and Street Lions Club, the event will be held at Glastonbury Town Hall on Magdalene Street, BA6 9EL, on Sunday, 6th October 2024, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Prostate cancer affects 40,000 men each year in the UK, leading to approximately 10,000 deaths annually. Early detection is critical for effective treatment, and this event offers Shepton Mallet residents the chance to receive confidential testing by qualified medical practitioners.
