Police Appeal for Witnesses Following Shed Burglary Near Shepton Mallet

Local authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information relating to a recent burglary near Shepton Mallet.

The incident occurred in Alhampton between 7-8 am on Saturday, 22nd April, where a property shed was forcefully broken into.

The perpetrators gained access to the shed by breaking down a gate and the shed doors. After breaching the property's boundaries, they fled the scene with two valuable items - a chainsaw and a distinctive green and yellow John Deere X350R ride-on lawnmower.

Authorities have released a photo of the stolen John Deere lawnmower in the hope that its recognisable colours and design may aid in its recovery and lead to the identification of the culprits.

The police are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who was in the Alhampton area at the time of the burglary and may have seen any suspicious activities or unfamiliar individuals.

Any information, regardless of how insignificant it might seem, could prove crucial in their ongoing investigation.

Anyone with information relating to this incident is urged to contact the police on 101 and quote reference number 5223093078.
