Advertising boards could be put up on three roundabouts around the Shepton area if plans are given the go-ahead.

The applications to site three hoarding signs on the Whitstone Hill roundabout, three on the High Street roundabout and four on the White Post roundabout at Stratton all come from Somerset County Council.

According to the application, the plan is to have one advertiser per roundabout and each sign will be identical, displaying their company branding above a message reading "Somerset County Council supporting local businesses".
