To support tourism and economic regeneration in Shepton Mallet, a new Tourism Information Access point has been installed in the town's library.

The information point directs visitors to the Hello Shepton and Visit Somerset websites, showcasing local attractions and activities. Flyers with additional information are also available for visitors to take.

Local businesses, organisations, and charities can add their events, listings, and venues to Hello Shepton for free. The Town Council actively promotes these listings in and around the local area.

Matt Harrison explained: "Hello Shepton was launched as a one-stop online place for organisations, businesses, charities and any group that contributes to life in Shepton Mallet to share their events and details. Reflecting the way people find out information nowadays, it is always accessible and always being updated."

He added, "The Town Council was conscious though that visitors to our town centre don't have a Tourist Information Centre to call in on; however, our wonderful, modern library has extensive opening hours and provides a natural base to locate a physical place for everyone to access Hello Shepton. Come on in and have a play…. And if you want your community event or organisation details added, simply visit helloshepton.com."
