New petrol station opens in Shepton Mallet with food, EV charging and more

A brand new petrol station has officially opened in Shepton Mallet — and it's bringing a lot more than just fuel.
Motor Fuel Group (MFG) launched the new Shepton Mallet Service Station on Wednesday 19 June at Cannard's Grave, offering petrol, EV charging, and a full convenience line-up.
The site includes a Budgens store, which is now open from 6am to 11pm, seven days a week. To mark the launch, shoppers can get £2 off when they spend £10 or more, with new vouchers available weekly from 19 June to 16 July.
Greggs and Pret A Manger are also set to open on the site, giving drivers and locals a chance to grab food, coffee, or snacks without leaving the forecourt.
MFG — the UK's largest independent forecourt operator — said the new station has been designed with modern motorists in mind, combining fuel, EV chargers, food-to-go, parcel lockers and business facilities in one place.
The station is also accessible to disabled drivers via the fuelService app, which allows users to request pump assistance before they arrive.
An MFG spokesperson said: "We're proud to be opening in Shepton Mallet and bringing modern, convenient services to local residents and passing motorists alike."
