Children returning to school at St Paul's Junior School in Shepton Mallet next week, will find that part of the school has been given a bright new look.

Bristol-based street artist and designer, Ollie Gillard, has painted a mural on one of the walls of the school.

The pupils shared their thoughts about what makes the school part of the community, and what is important to the school, and then Ollie designed the mural to reflect the ideas.

Christian values, the local area, sheep, snowdrops and Matilda the school dog are all incorporated into the design.

A spokesman for the school said: "We wanted to brighten up the wall and show the children about being a part of the community and local area."
