Man suffers serious injuries after early morning attack in Shepton Mallet

Avon and Somerset Police are investigating an incident in which a 23-year-old man was assaulted by two other men in Cowl Street, Shepton Mallet, at around 5.55am today (August 29).

He has suffered some serious injuries to his face and arm, and has been taken to hospital for treatment.

Enquiries are ongoing. If anyone has information which could help the police, they can call 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5219198730.
